JUSTIN M. MONTENEGRO
BIO
I was born in Costa Rica 1999, when I was 2 years old, my parents and I moved to the United States, there I believe my creative self was awoken; ever since I can remember I've been very artistic, as a child I used to draw portraits of people from my mind, but as I grew up, my artistic expression grew or evolved with me; as a teen I was drawn by contemporary dance, but now as an adult, I find myself most at home when I'm behind a camera.
PHOTOGRAPHY
After I graduated high school I asked one of my best friends if she wanted to try having like some sort of a photoshoot so that I could try out her camera, and that day I fell in love with the way she moved, how her hair framed her face and how the textures and the colors worked amazingly together. That same afternoon my parents surprised me with my first camera; a month later I did my first photoshoot with another friend from high school, and from then I've been photographing non stop.
WHY FASHION?
Growing up I've been drawn to all things minimal, and I'm also a complete perfectionist so I tend to look for perfection in every shot, and growing up I would watch a lot of fashion and modeling tv shows, this has definitely influenced my photography style, but I believe I've slowly progressed into fashion and beauty. I don't like to be limited when it comes to art, so these two areas allow me to have complete control over creative details and it just makes sense for me to free my mind in this niche.
